As a nonprofit organisation, the AviAssist Foundation is reliant on support from governments, corporations, individuals and foundations.
There are many ways in which you can contribute to our work. Contact the Friends of the AviAssist Foundation for info about short term volunteer expert missions, membership and other opportunities.
Why support the AviAssist Foundation?
Citizens travel widely all over the world, including Africa.

Your organisation may have aviation safety interest abroad and safety promotion as part of it aviation policy. Your organisation may not have the human resources to have a positive influence on aviation safety in Africa.

Your support may extend your corporate social responsibility portfolio right in line with some of your business’ main skills.

To enable us to continue our work, and to keep the issues that are of crucial importance to your business or organisation on the front pages of national papers, in the magazines and online, we need your support.

You or your organisation may very well be able to contribute to the goals of the organisation. Be part of this positive influence on African aviation safety.

Tax relief on charitable support

The AviAssist Foundation is aspiring to achieve ANBI status early 2016. ANBI status means that charity donations can get tax relief. The Dutch abbreviation ANBI means Algemeen Nut Beogende Instellingen (Institution Aimed at the Common Good) refers to charitable, religious, humanistic, cultural and scientific institutions whose mission and operations are deemed by the Tax Service to overwhelmingly serve the Common Good.

The Dutch government implements a fiscal policy that encourages the donation of funds to causes that advance the Common Good. Apart from granting tax advantages to the AviAssist Foundation, ANBI status also favors AviAssist's Sponsors, Contributors and Patrons in countries that grant tax concessions to foreign registered charities, as well as those based in the Netherlands. Sponsors, Contributors and Patrons who have made a donation to AviAssist may be able to deduct the amount from taxable income. More information on our ANBI status will be posted here soon.

Meaningful African exposure

Gaining meaningful African exposure in Africa's growing market and beyond while supporting the work of the AviAssist Foundation is by advertising your products or services in the Foundation quarterly magazine SafetyFocus. The full colour magazine is THE source for African professionals and decision makers in 41 African countries. Contact us for more information on our very favourable advertising rates.

Financial Support
An important way of contributing to our efforts is by providing financial support. Such support doesn’t always need to be substantial. After all, an amount of €50 will enable the AviAssist Foundation sending an annual subscription to a business relation or prospect in e.g. South Sudan. A donation of €750 has enabled us to produce an airport wildlife management cartoon for communities around airports. But there are other activities where the Foundation can benefit from smaller, medium sized or large financial contributions.

Expertise support
You or your organisation may be able to commit relevant technical operational expertise every now and then as an in kind contribution. The AviAssist Foundation will enable you to make such expertise available in a manner that may be most beneficial to the African region. The Foundation will make sure your expertise fits well within the regional safety & security needs . A program can be fully adjusted to the agenda of the expert(s) involved. Letting the world know
The AviAssist Foundation continues to benefit from extensive marketing & PR. As an example of your contribution in this manner, your organisation may be able to place an article on the Foundation in your in house magazine, print brochures for distribution at major events or distribute brochures at major events. Any suggestions from your side are more than welcome. Please get in touch with us to work with your idea.
